ShadowYouth

ShadowCoach Psychologists are CRB checked and have extensive experience of working with children. During the diagnostics phase our Psychologists will carry out an initial behavioural analysis of the child’s needs in order to design the most effective intervention.

In our experience children of all ages can benefit greatly from coaching techniques. Those most commonly used (depending on the need) include cognitive behavioural coaching (CBC), performance coaching and career coaching, whether it’s to improve their skills, change their beliefs, develop their sense of identity, help them to make important decisions about their future or tap into what motivates them. Effective coaching can foster a safe, non-judgemental relationship and a base from which children can deal with many life challenges.

Furthermore, experience has shown that children can be successfully coached to develop relationships and emotional intelligence, academic ability and effective thinking as well as encouraging children to practice and develop leadership, decision-making and responsibility. An environment is created in which children not only succeed but develop emotional maturity.
